Restrictions to smoke
Smoking is banned in all means of transport (subway, buses, etc.), in cinemas, theatres, covered sport arenas, school buildings, and in some work places and some government offices. All trains in Ukraine are non-smoking trains. Partial restrictions apply to domestic and international flights (smoking is restricted to a designated area). Since April 1997, smoking is also banned in all treatment and prevention institutions.
Some places obey the law even though enforcement is mostly informal.
