Tatiana I. Andreeva was born on 10th March, 1962 in Kazan, Russia. She graduated Kazan medical institute as medical doctor in 1985 and has got Ph.D (medical sciences) in 1990.

In 1989-1992 she worked in Kazan medical institute as Assistant Professor of General hygiene and in 1992-1996 she was program coordinating director of Kazan Treatment and Health-Promotion Centre “Amethyst”. In 1996-1998 she worked as director of Kazan specialized center on prevention of addictions. 

Since 1998 Tatiana Andreeva works as project director of the Alcohol and Drug Information Center (ADIC-Ukraine) in Kiev, Ukraine.

Since 2005 she is Associate Professor (Health Promotion, Introduction to Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Tobacco Control) of the National University of Kiev-Mohyla Academy, School of Public Health.

In 1999 she prepared report on stimulant drug use in Ukraine for the WHO.

In 2003-2005 she was a coordinator of the study of psychoactive substances use in the families of pregnant women in Kiev, Ukraine.

In April, 2004 – March, 2005 she was UICC GLOBALink Regional/Language coordinator (Russian). 

In 2005 she elaborated of questionnaire, analyzed results and prepared report of the National Survey on tobacco use in Ukraine.

In 2006 she coordinated Ukrainian part of the international research project aimed to assess women and children exposure to secondhand smoke in homes, in collaboration with the Institute for Global Tobacco Control, Johns Hopkins University.

Since 1993 Tatiana Andreeva took part in many international conferences and meetings on alcohol, tobacco and drug issues, such as World Conferences on Tobacco or Health (Chicago, 2000, Washington, 2006).

She worked as a trainer at tobacco control seminars in Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.

Member of the Public Board of the Minister of Health of Ukraine.

Author of many books, such as Internet and drug prevention (1999), Help in smoking cessation. Medical practice manual (2002) , Cot death and ways to prevent it (2003), Tobacco and Health (2004), as well as articles on alcohol, tobacco and drug issues in periodicals.
